James (Jim) is a Rural Generalist GP, who was born and bred in the New England and returned to the area in mid-2023 to work. His professional background prior to medicine was physiotherapy, working primarily in sports medicine and occupational health. He was responsible for a large company’s ergonomic risk management program in the UK for some years. Since completing his retraining in medicine he has been based in the Upper Hunter area, around Tamworth and Quirindi. His passion is enabling integrated and coordinated primary healthcare which is accessible to all, and training clinicians in evidence based musculoskeletal medicine. In his downtime, he enjoys family time, fishing and is a wannabe grazier.
